Seasons end updates

Hi you guys! I've been watching a LOT of TV lately, so you know what that means! Of course, it can only mean that I have been keeping up with my fave shows this year. I'm gonna be so sad when it's time for them to go off air for the season.

Up first is Graceland, which is nearing it's season finale! ***SPOILER ALERT***The last episode was explosive. Briggs finally decides to confide in someone, and that person is DJ, and, fearing for his conviction, runs far away, but the evidence he was certain that Mike was going to find was already disposed of. That means that they can't convict Briggs yet, but him running isn't the most innocent seeming thing ever. Who is working to keep Briggs safe? Who is working against him? I think the big question here is if that Federale is legit. According to the next show preview, he is Jangles!

Second up is Pretty Little Liars, which has been extremely explosive, but I am pretty sure has come to an end for the season. Cece Drake is acting as Ali, but when Ezra showed up in A's lair, I still don't think he was A. If he really is, I'm gonna stop watching it, cause that is taking it tooooo far, my friends.

Next we have, (don't freak out, yet) Under the Dome!!!  Woo-hoo! It's gotten a little weird, but I think overall it has been much better. Plus, right now I hate Big Jim for turning everyone against Barbie. According to the book, Barbie is supposed to be leader appointed by the military, so I guess he probably is the one who the aliens, and it is definitely aliens, want to rule. But they need Big Jim Shady out of the way first. I def think Angie, Joe, Junior, and that other girl, who I have now deemed the Magic Four, should take care of that problem...  But i have a feeling they won't. The dome is probs gonna take him out. Ouch. It's gonna hurt, too. But I'm not sure; Angie is willing to do anything to get the dome, which I'm pretty sure is actually a sphere, to come down faster. I'm glad Max is gone, too. That was one good thing Jim did, but now he's gonna have to pay. Barbie might end up taking care of him, instead. He was, after all, a hit man for her. He's got the skills, for sure.

SOOOOOO, now I shall move on to the book section! Thank goodness for Kindle, because that means I get the books the day they come out, YAY! Recently, I polished off a couple of fiction books, but besides that, due to the number of science and math courses I plan to take before high school is over, I'm trying to move into a new genre: informational science books. Woo-to-the-flipping-hoo. It was my idea, and I'm still sticking to it, but Gosh if it isn't time consuming and hard to care about. But anyways, I'll save you guys that torture, but I will tell u what I'm trying to swim through like Jell-O.

First, I read a book about Nikola Tesla, called Imagination and the Man who Invented the 21st Century. Now it's The Disappearing Spoon, a book about the periodic table of elements, and in depth research on each one, written by Sam Kean. It's pretty good, though. Just kind of deep reading.

Also, in the fiction department, I've been keeping up with my Dante Walker. Liberator, the next book in the series, is pretty awesome right up until the end, when we find out that Charlie is pretty much destined to go live with Lucille forever, boo. That part sucked, but I sure hope there is a happy ending in the next book that will come along. I feel like a lot happened, but not the way it should have, but all in the author's plan, I'm assured. I can't wait to see how the wonderful Victoria Scott ties the final knot in the bow on the wrapping on this series.

Also, a great great great new book in The Covenant series! Thank you Jennifer Armentrout, I hope you keep writing till you can't write no more. The girl knows how to write a good paranormal/science fiction romance, and I hate that I have to wait for another book to come out before I get to the end! Jennifer reaches out to you and brings you into the world of the characters, which is exactly what I look for in my reading.
Also from the marvelous Jen is another book in the Lux series, which is very intense, what with Kat being captured and *super spoiler* Daemon turning himself in to be with her! The origins are awesome, as well, and Bethany getting ready to give birth to one is too much to handle! The luxen end up exposing themselves to get away from the DOD, and those pesky world-taker-overers think it was all to their benefit. They show up at the very very end and I'm pretty sure it is bad bad news. I can't wait to see how they get out of this mess in the next installment of the series!

Next, a book in the Taking series! It was a bit lacking, but satisfying enough. The ending was very surprising, because it turns out *spoiler* bringing all the healed humans and aliens to earth was pretty much a SETUP!!!!?? That part confused me, but in the end (prepare for Nickelback reference)  it doesn't even matter; I'm still hooked and want to find out what happens.

Also, I need to need to need to (triple phrasing intended as to emphasize importance) get my hands on the next book in a new series I just read the first of called the (I guess) Archived series. It is so amazing, a fresh take on the paranormal, with a story line and characters that can not be rivaled. It was definitely a hard book to get into in the first couple chapters, but when that action started, man, I couldn't put that sucker down to save my life. I can not wait at all like sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book to be released while I'm trying to find another book that can even attempt to compare.

Which leads me to my next book, which is a rare single! But when you find out who wrote it, I guess you will understand why it was good. It was a book written by none other than Jennifer Echols! It is about a m as magical book with a lot of twists and turns and a very odd surprise at the end, but it is a page turner and worth every penny. I wish it was a series cause it would be kick butt good.

I also read another really good book about Alice in Wonderland, and it is the most amazing twisted "what happened after wonderland" book ever. It is about a girl who is cursed by a family tie to Wonderland, driving her mother insane and herself into the depths of the underground realm of terror and tests that lead to her finding her true place in the world: to be the Red Queen. Accompanied by Hotty McHotness best friend throughout the journey, who ends up sacrificing himself for her, she is able to redeem him in the end and achieve happy ever after, but not without turning her whole world upside down to find the truth first. It was amazing, action packed, nightmare inducing, and beautiful all at the same time. This Wonderland single, Splintered, by A. G. Howard, who must be a genius, is destined to be a classic.

In other news, I can not wait to dive into the scary gray scale world of Ravenswood this October, as I'm sure it will be a mystery thriller but won't have much to do with Rosewood except sharing a few characters here and there. But all in all, I bet it'll be good. And dark. It will definitely be dark.

So that's about all for today's blog. I think I found a new forever phone, the Motorola RAZR M. It's different, but better. Definitely better than the craptastic one I had last week. So, yeah, that's about all. Now that I have the phones settled and am kind of settling into the motions of school, I hope I get to blog some more. I was asked by a reader a while back when I was gonna blog again, and I felt really bad that I didn't know because it had been so long. But I hope I don't have to make you guys wait any longer, and can at least do a once-a-week thing from now until whenever. So it was good blogging you guys! Oh, and if you have XM radio, check out the Pulse on channel 15!

Time for an unwanted change

So, recently, my phone has stopped wanting to charge. The trusty Motorola DROID RAZR Maxx had to be replaced by a phone of the not to distant future, the LG Lucid 2. And while I hate to drag any phone's good name through the mud, I have to say that this phone is not for me. No, certainly not when I am reading my Kindle app and I turn the page to a fresh new glitch; like the grid option on Instagram, my kindle book's page has been divided into four and plastered on random places throughout the screen. The only known way to fix this bug is for you to then hit the home button, only to launch the Kindle app and be greeted with even more glitches. Another glitch, a personal favorite of mine, is when I try to download my Amazon MP3 songs, and there is no option to download to the SD Card, limiting me to storing three songs to my device at any one single time. Ah, the curse of the new phone. Hopefully, a new one will appear with my name and number on it in the future, but the odds of that happening, as the Borg would say in Star Trek the Next Generation, obsolete. So for all my fellow Android lovers out there, if you like listening to music, typing without a snare, and reading all your favorite books on your personal portable media and communication device now known as the cellular telephone, avoid the LG Lucid 2 like the plague.

Graceland! And a kind-of-update on all things me right now!

If you guys have not had a chance to catch up on the Graceland series or you just haven't given it a try, tomorrow (August 8th) is your chance! There will be a marathon of every episode except the pilot! It is really good, so please please please watch it! It is really really really good! Hurray for triple word phrases!

Even if you haven't seen it, I can tell you that it is so good that I am freaking out that I haven't even seen the last episode! My DVR got all messed up so I had to reset all my timers so I missed some random episodes! It's so so so terrible! But anyways.

So, I also found out that the great Elementary is coming back on not a moment too soon! I think it's next month, but it will give you something to look forward to while you are struggling through going back to school for another year with minimal breaks and unfortunate tests and quizzes and exams and such.

Well, I hope that if you haven't already gone back to school, or even if you have, that the transition be easy and fun! Lol, unlikely, huh? Well, I'm kind of excited because I'm getting a new math teacher, science teacher, history teacher, English teacher, and Bible teacher, even though I have had that same last teacher in the past. But it should be very interesting. And since I won't be traveling around anymore, I will definitely be keeping all you guys, my sweet sweet fans, über posted! Love you guys, and have a great rest of the few days of summer and start of the school year! Yay for grammatical correctness, at least I hope this post is...

PS: I went to volleyball practice for the first time yesterday to try things out and see if I liked it, and I really did! But then my foot started hurting and I had to leave like an hour early. Then I kind of got turned around on my way home but was able to backtrack and find my way. But my foot started hurting after I went to the gym with my friend but I didn't think anything about it. Then I took a walk for a half hour for a mile with my mom and it hurt some more. Then I took a half hour walk with my mom and her friend from work for two miles and it REALLY hurt, then. I couldn't walk the rest of the day. And then volleyball happened. I lasted about and hour and a half before I couldn't walk. So now today I am alternating heating and icing it. It seems to help for a while, but then it comes right back. I think it is called anterolateral ankle impingement. It hurts. Really bad. So if u have any tips on helping it get better, please comment it to me below! Sooooo, bye! Blog you next time!

June update

Hey you guys! So, I know it's been a while since you guys have heard from me, and I'm really sorry about that, but the truth is that I haven't had much to say lately. I've been back and forth across the state and a lot of the places I've been haven't had any service whatsoever, so that kind of out a damper on the blogging for a while. But I decided to fill you guys in on a few things.

Recently, I have become a Facebook Beta Tester. In retrospect, that means that Facebook sends me, as well as other testers, unofficial versions of Facebook apps on my phone, and I try them, and then tell Facebook whether or not it works and if I like the features. I'm kind of excited! I can't wait to get the first updated version and try it out! I will be sure to let you guys in on how it works.

So, this will be the last post of the month post from me (probably), but don't worry, there will be plenty more in July, God-willing. I want to also tell you guys about some new shows coming on, most in the mystery-thriller-police genre. I have recently started watching them because they are BRAND NEW! I love love love new shows.

Okay, so the first is not a new show, but rather a new season, and not hard to catch up on: Perception! So, Professor Daniel Pierce is a paranoid schizophrenic, who, with the help of his FBI friends, helps solve murders and crimes using his "imaginary friend,"  Carol, who is really a women he met in the past but isn't really there. This season, however, there is a twist. She is real. After being admitted to the mental hospital for his paranoid delusions late in the last season, he discovers that Carol is really Caroline, his new doctor in the hospital. Rekindling their romantic flame from the past, they begin during after Daniel is released. He is given a new doctor. In this first episode, however, we notice that Dr. Pierce is beginning to exhibit symptoms of tardive dyskinesia, a repercussion of his new medications. Dr. Pierce eventually goes off his medicine, knowing that, if his dosage is continued, the symptoms can not be reversed. Later in the episode, Dr. Pierce is caught talking to Carol, who he thinks is Caroline, by Caroline herself. How will this play out in the rest of the season? Set your DVRs to record and find out yourself.

The next show is Under the Dome, a brand new show. It is about a small town that is hit with a big change: the whole town is trapped in a giant impenetrable dome! Among the town's trapped citizens and a man who is seen burying a man he murdered earlier in the episode, a girl and her crazy obsessed summer fling partner who traps her in his dad's bomb shelter when she claims to have no feelings for him, and a reporter whose husband is supposedly having an affair, but when she welcomes the murderer into her house as a guest, the man in the photograph who is her husband, is recognized by the murderer as the man he killed. He keeps this to himself, though, so we will see how this plays out. Also, there is a crazy man, Mr. Obsessive Kidnapping Boyfriend's father, who has been preparing for the worst for some odd years and has stockpiled plenty of supplies for the town. Now, how are crazy man and the sheriff supposed to tell the town without seeming suspicious? People are trying to find ways out or into the dome to bring supplies or escape from the dangerous people within. Personally, I think they should dig under it and test that out. It's based on a Stephen King book, so it sure to get pretty weird. Kids start having seizures and talk about stars falling and stuff like that during their" episodes. Also, at the end of the episode the sheriff starts feeling weird and gets shot right before he was about to reveal a big secret. I don't know if we will ever find out what is causing these strange occurrences, but in true Stephen fashion, I'm thinking aliens.

Another new show in rave review, Devious Maids. In the beginning, there was murder, and on the second day, there were a few sassy maids and their separate stories coming together at lunch in a Beverly Hills park. Wonder what happens here? Will the bonds of friendship and a need for revenge drives these girls to commit some heinous crimes? Who can say? I can, and I know this drama filled series will not be disappointing. This is one must see television drama of the summer.

Graceland, a brand new DEA themed series will bring you the stories of dive different agents living together and working to bust the crimes of drug gangs in SoCal. How will the agent replacing the guy who got shot work out? I don't know, but I'm dying to find out. How can you find out more about this hot in more ways than one series, filled with action and sunset beaches? Watch it.
So that's all for the TV shows so far, and I will be broadcasting from my phone later on to tell you all about the new books I am checking out. Keep in touch with me and.....

An Ode to Blogging

AHHHHH. The wonderful world of blogging. An Internet community of bloggers and readers and subscribers alike. The bloggers, diligent in their task, write posts to tell you about their new favorite shows or songs or to share a to-die-for recipe, all in the hopes that one day they might save some unsuspecting reader from watching Desperate Housewives or making the mistake of eating scrambled eggs with brie. It is an unusual task, time consuming and difficult, to put your thoughts or recommendations into words and publish them on the Web for all to see with no fear of the fallout or consequences, just to see a smile on a reader's face when they try that new recipe or watch a trailer on YouTube for that awesome summer blockbuster that you just can't wait to see. It is a selfless task, you see, to spend the necessary time and energy to do what bloggers do with no desire for a reward except to make a difference. They care enough to share with you their life stories and bare the scars on their hearts for all to see. It is a noble task, which only the brave take on and dare to do well. So, bloggers, let us unite, no matter what race, age, gender, cause, dedication, or genre, to show the world what we are made of. It's more than just words on a screen; there is love and care and our lives displayed in those pixels. Let us show them we are brave, we are strong, and we will not remove posts due to controversial content. Let us do our job, what we do best, what we are meant to do, and do it better than anyone else!

Summer of '13 Shows to Record

So last night I made a hasty post about a YouTube series I think you all should follow, dubbed Lauren, about a woman in the Army who was sexually assaulted and is going through the complications of it. I think this is one of the "shows to record"  for the summer of '13 because it is an amazing series featuring Troian Bellisario as the main character, who is an AMAZING actor and portrays the character exquisitely. Did I mention she is AMAZING? Of course, since it is on YouTube you can't actually record it, but I suggest you mark the time it comes on and watch it.
Also on this list is the new show,  "Fosters"  on ABC Family, a show which, from all the ads, appears to have the potential to turn into a Switched at Birth-sized pandemic. If you want to record it, it comes on June 3 at 9 o' clock. Watch it! I will be! I would probably be doing some live blogging during the breaks if I knew how to do it. So I won't, but it would be cool if I could.
Another show on this list, in case you are still interested in my opinions, is Devious Maids, and it comes on Lifetime right after Desperate Housewives. In my opinion, it is a chance to see the lives of the people who really run the households of the rich and famous: the maids and servants.
I think it will be an awesome new series that will have everybody talking.  Personally, I don't normally like this kind of show, but the old Lady Gaga song on the advertisement caught my attention. And from the time I looked up to watch the rest of the advertisement I was hooked. It comes on June 23, so you'll probably have to wait until after you watch a few Fosters episodes to set your DVR, but I think it will be worth the wait.
So, after that, you need to be sure to record or watch Ravenswood on ABC Family, which is a sister to Pretty Little Liars. I'm sure it will be fabulous, so be sure not to miss it.
Also, you guys should watch the new Nickelodeon movie, Nicky Deuce, a movie about a dork who moved to New Jersey and learns to be a Jersey kid. I think it will be awesome because the main character is Gibby from iCarly and his uncle that he moves in with is a funny guy that plays on a bunch of movies and probably made an appearance on the Sopranos.
So, I'm going back to the mountains for a week tomorrow and I will be sure to keep you guys updated!
Thanks for reading!

An Absolutely Must Watch Video Series!

This video series is about an Army soldier who has been brutally sexually assaulted and is seeking to make things right. This video is a must watch! I don't even remember how I found out about this series but I seriously just spent the last two hours of my life watching this entire series! Start at the beginning and go through to the last episode! I hope that you will watch the other stories by wigs and will continue to watch this series and will inform others about this pressing issue!

Watch, watch, watch!!!!!!!!!
Troian Bellisario is AMAZING in the role of Lauren. The actors here and the acting and portrayal of these dramatic events is unbeatable!

Exam Preparedness and Other Random Stuff

Hey you guys! I appreciate you returning to my baby blog to watch it grow into A SUPERSTAR! Lol, jk, that probably won't happen. Anyways, I was preparing (making notecards) for my Bible exam and decided I should do a post.
Yesterday, I was thinking about how awesome it is going to be to get out of school but my summer is going to be sooooo busyyyyy. I have a ton of stuff lined up, such as (prepare for extremely long list): volunteering at the vet, Jr. Fair Board fair planning, getting a goat and caring for him, exercising him, and training him, furniture shopping (explanation will be provided later on), doing some self-studying on chemistry, staying with my grandma, possibly working at my mom's job, driving (hehe, license is a little less than 60 days away), reading (to keep you guys up to date, of course), and probably a bunch of other stuff I forgot because that doesn't seem busy enough and I feel a stupid urge to fill all the empty space with more stuff. And, possibly, hopefully, maybe, just maybe, working out at the gym like Fergie in her hit song, "Glamorous." PS. While I was typing this, I tried to look up the song on my phone to make sure I got the name right but my Google search box is freakishly slow so I'm just gonna say it is right and that that is, in fact, the name of the song.
Okay, so on to another thought for this blog. I got to thinking while I was stressing out my hand making notecards that I couldn't wait to go to bed and check out the new shows on my sweet, sweet DVR, but-NOOO! It's not Thursday yet! Waahhhhhhh, aaahhh, booooooo, hooooooo! I wish it was Thursday and can't wait for it to come!
I spent some quality time outside today and ate my dinner out there. It was pretty nice. I nurtured my cabbage and some purple pansies I gave my mom for Mother's Day (pictured below photo creds to moi) that we planted in 4H. I haven't been playing music to it lately. No time. Oh well, I don't think it helps too much anyways. But now I am sitting in my den in my extremely large chair watching American Hoggers, a show I totally do not enjoy. And AxMen, I hate that show, too. Obviously, because I hate them, these are my parents' favorite shows. Yay. Something else they love is baked spaghetti from K&W cafeteria. I hate that, too. Now, I may seem like a negative nelly because I am always saying I hate something or am putting something down, but I have my good moments. I'm not kidding!
So, today was the blood drive at my school and my mom came at 2 o'clock for "faster service." Faster service, my butt! We were there until 4! In that time, I got my marshal dress for graduation approved and watched a lot of flirting from the "office couple"  at my school. It was, I can't even, just, ugh. Single people need not mingle; lose the jerk and do more work.
Also, here is today's segment of Biology venting. So, we took a test yesterday (Tuesday) on the sex education chapter of out bio class but we had to write a paper for 25 points. I forgot to write the paper until like 10:30 to 11 on Monday night. Smooth, right? So anyways, I did it, and that paper on euthanasia, it deserved an award. But the thing is, we were supposed to answer a given question, which I forgot to do. I also did not double space the paper, something I didn't even realize I had to do until first block the next day. So, in second block, I confess to my besty that I forgot to answer the question. Pretty much everybody in math agreed that I would get a bad grade. I knew we weren't doing anything but review in Spanish for 3rd block so I got my mom to pick me up and let me retype the paper during 3rd and lunch and bring me back to rest and turn in the paper. Lucky for me, I was sick Monday and didn't come to school, so when my Spanish teacher saw me checking out she just gave me my work to do at home! I was overjoyed! So, I retype the paper, get it done and everything, have it proofread, and get back to school. When I open the door to science lab, my besty runs up to me and asks if I used personal pronouns. I was like, uhhh, kind of. The question asked for MY OPINION, why wouldn't I give it? Apparently the teacher said that it wasn't what we were supposed to do and that she would consider not taking off points for it. Um, I'm pretty sure I would fail if she did. Don't want to think about that. Stay on the bright side, Brandy, keep positive.
Okay, all better now. I should probably start again on making notecards. It's not like we are using the rest of Bible class this week just to make notecards and study for exams. Pfft, who would do that? *sarcasm is present; please heed that anything I just said is opposite, and get used to it-- this chick= heavy sarcasm user*
Oh, and another show I hate is Wicked Tuna. Let's be honest here; is there anything wicked about tuna? No, I didn't think so. Set my DVR when you bring the drama, thanks, and leave the fish smell at home.
SO, THANKS YOU GUYS GOR LISTENING TO ME RANT AND READING MY CRAZY PATOOTY OPINION! I APPRECIATE IT! IF YOU ENJOYED SKMETHING IN THIS POST OR WANT TO ASK ME A QUESTION OR CORRET ME ABIUT THE FERGIE SONG THEN PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT  BELOW! I WILL TOTALLY RESPOND TO YOU!
PEACE OUT, GIRLSKOUTS!
Catch you later, alligator.
In a while, crocodile.
I'm gonna make like a banana and split.
I'm gonna make like a tree and leave.

This has been your latest segment of BGBLOG, where the author and proud producer has left you with many cheesy exit lines that she hopes not to hear around her or for you to use anytime soon.

50 View Mile Marker!!!!!

Hey you guys! So, this is an update on what I have been doing since my last post. Right now, I am watching Seinfeld. This post probably would've come later if I hadn't realized I didn't have a lot of homework. Hey, you know what I just realized? I'm eating some nasty freakin' Stauffer's lasagna again tonight. So I guess that it is destined for me to eat some crappy frozen dinner lasagna every time I do a blogpost. Hurray.

So, I have been checking up on the blog and when I noticed that I hit the 50 mark, I decided I REALLY needed to do a post. Okay, so soon after I did my last post, maybe a couple weeks, I went to the beach and wasn't able to care for my sweet baby cabbage while I was gone. Miraculously, BOTH my cabbage plants had sprouted by the time I got back! I was so proud of my little babies. I noticed one looked a little weaker than the other. It eventually died. RIP cabbage baby. So, anyways, I found out why they hadn't sprouted before. Turns out that cabbage seeds have to be germinated before they sprout, which, in turn, means that you are technically supposed to soak the seed in water for like a day or two before you plant in. While I was gone, it rained a lot, so it got soaked for a day or two and sprouted like it was supposed to. Right now it is the size of a little 3 leaved clover without one of the leaves. I have been keeping a close eye on it. After it finished raining today, I continued my little classic music experiment and played it about an hour of Mozart symphonies while doing my science vocab. I really hope it gets bigger cause everybody else's cabbage is a lot bigger than mine.

I also have been doing a little brain training to see if it helps me bring up my grades. It did! In math class we were learning about fractional exponents, work problems, and rationalizing exponents. I practically taught the lessons myself! Took the test today and I am pretty sure I made a 100. In science, we had a substitute teacher for about 4 days because my actual science teacher went on senior trip to New York. The sub used to be our school's science teacher, so she knew what she was doing. I took the test Friday and PASSED with a 97!!!!! Hallelujah! I don't know if this has anything to actually do with the brain training, but I am absolutely not gonna take my chances.

I went to the mountains this weekend, and it wasn't a long weekend, so it was the shortest amount of time I have ever spent in the mountains. We stayed at a family friend's place with my grandparents and a couple of their friends. It was.... interesting. Honestly, the only thing I was interested in doing was eating at Bandanna's and the Dan'l Boone Inn. We did. I didn't really want to do anything after that. So I read. A lot. While I was squished in between my grandma and her friend in the very back seat of my grandpa's stinking car. (It was real, it was fun, but it wasn't real fun.)

So over the past few weeks, I have knocked a couple books out of the "Need to Read" pile. The first one was "Walking Disaster" by Jamie McGuire. It was pretty good, but lacked a little in the details department. I wouldn't read it without it's companion book, "Beautiful Disaster." *Link to buy in titles*
Next, I read a book called "Stung" written by Bethany Wiggins. It was awesome!!!! It starts off with a girl waking up in house that she knows she used to live in, but it is trashed. Without any memories, she doesn't know where to go. Turns out that she is actually in a post-bee-apocalyptic America. Without bees, the govt. released a genetically altered form of the bug to try to pollinate plants. When stung by these bees, people got very sick with flu-like symptoms and died. People were given vaccinations to help against these illnesses and the vaccines went south. Eventually the vaccinated people turned into monsters and tried to kill everyone around them. Turns out, the main character and her twin brother were given the most lethal doses of the vaccines, but the girl did not turn into a monster. This mystifies everyone around her, and eventually she is captured by a group of guards around the walled city provided with food and free from beasts. The man in charge of watching her, she soon realizes, is the little boy from her childhood who lived across the street. He recognizes her, and eventually comes to her aide when the Governor of the city wants the girl to be assassinated. Together, they fight against the system and find a cure for the beasts and those who have not yet Turned. Oh, here's the link for Stung.
After that, I read a book that popped up in my Kindle carousel because I had pre-ordered it from one of my favorite authors, Julie Kagawa. It is the second in a series about vampires called "The Immortal Rules." Since this is one of my favorite authors and I have already read the previous book, I am not going to tell you about the sister book and, instead, am going to start where the book starts. If you want to know the whole story, please please please go buy the books from these links on Amazon: Book 1 and Book 2. So, the story starts with Allison Sekemoto looking for her vampire sire, Kanin, and running into her blood brother under him, Jackal. Together they search for Kanin through a maze of vampire cities and, on the way, run into a new strain of the Red Lung Virus released into the outskirts of her hometown, a vampire city ruled by the vampire prince Salazar. The virus was released by Sarren, an insane vampire that has released the virus to kill every human and vampire to "cleanse" the world. Together, the band of vampires along with Allison's boyfriend from the previous book, Zeke, search for a cure and seek to get revenge on the dangerously insane and creatively combative Sarren.
The next book was Wide Awake by Shelly Crane. Amazing! I am adding this special lady to my list of favorite authors (I'm going to put up this list instead of one of the others.) A girl wakes up frhom a coma to find that she has been out for 6 months and it is her senior year. She doesn't know who she is, but her old boyfriend seeks to change that. She was once the "It" girl of her high school, so skinny and popular that she actually gained weight while she was in the coma and none of her "friends" visited her because they didn't think she would want them to see her in her "condition." She hates who she used to be and fights to become strong enough to change not only the school's opinion of her, but also what her family wants her to be. Along the way, she falls for her physical therapist, Mason, and seeks to have a relationship with him, only to find out that Mason is keeping away from her because of a secret from her untimely past. Eventually there is a sort of happy ending, but if you want to know the whole story, please buy the book from Amazon by clicking on this link.
Finally, I knocked this book out yesterday. It has the makings of a great series, and I hope to see more from this author soon.  This book is "Lark" by Erica Cope. It is definitely not to be overlooked. Fantasy and fairy tale with a hint of romance, this book hits every paranormal reader's spot. Unbeknownst to Mia, she is the daughter of an Elven king. Turns out her best friend, Greyson St. Clair, is the king's best friends and has been watching over her her whole life. Brought about by a freak accident, Mia is transported to the Elven realm by Grey, who eventually determines that she is the one to fulfill an ancient prophecy. She is kidnapped by her evil uncle, king of the dark elves, whereas her father is king of the light elves. Mia is blessed with the gift of healing, and during her time in the dark realm, Mia meets a friend like her who helps her tap into her other abilities between mental torture sessions by the dark king himself. Eventually, her friend Jacoby, the one like her, half human and half elf, helps her escape. Together they work on training Mia with Grey as well as planning an attack on the dark elves to keep the prophecy from being fulfilled, but fulfilling even more of it instead. As it turns out, Jacoby is also part of the prophecy. When things go awry and plans fall apart, Mia is forced to make a desperate attempt to save the one she loves, but will it only hurt more of her own instead? Find out by reading the book that you can buy at this link.

Also, I took a trip to Wilmington recently and went to Wrightsville Beach. 14 of us were cramped in the tiny van the whole way there and the whole way back. It was a nightmare, especially with this boy on the van who is a pain in my..... side. We ate at Mellow Mushroom where I was shot with spitballs and forced to eat some really gross pizza and then we stopped by a frozen yogurt place where my phone was hidden in a napkin box. Fun, fun. Needless to say, I'm pretty sure I won't be riding to anywhere in the van anymore, and I don't care whether I have to charter a boat, a plane, a taxi, or whatever, but I will not be put through that torture again.

So, that was pretty much my month. Oh, and we are watching the movie Ben-Hur AGAIN in Bible class. We have been watching two days and still haven't even made it to the middle. Also, there is a blood drive coming up soon. Being too young to give, I kind of hate it. I want to give blood so bad because I have O- blood and I can give blood to anybody but can only accept my own blood type, so it kinda sucks. I really want to give but can't, so I guess I will get my mom to give for me for extra credit. Oh well, there's always next year. My math teacher has given 87 times! That's a lot of blood!

Okay, well, I'm all done so I'm gonna eat cause my head is killing me and I ate some crappy candy I am allergic to in Spanish today. Read you next time!!!!!

"We're going to start a trend, and now everybody'll be saying it! And we'll be the ones who started it!"

Hi you guys! So, if you are one of the few people reading my blog and you are a normal teenage German, then Ich schätze es! However, if you are a stalker/pedophile from Germany, then kommen nicht zurück! (For you Americans, you should Google Translate that.) If you are American and are currently using English as your language of preference, then the first German phrase there translates into "I appreciate it," and don't feel left out, cause I appreciate you guys, too, and you are the only reason I keep coming back to post stuff on this blog. If I hadn't gotten the first sixteen hits I did on the first day (which is like pretty much half my views so far.. it's a tough life) then I probably would have given the freak up.

So, right now, before I continue, here is a link to Google Translate so you can find out what the heck that German stuff means. And if you are in a bad mood, just pretend like you're Adolf Hitler and say them with a really angry sounding German accent.

Okay, here is where we dive deeper into this episode of BG BLOG. So, if you have noticed, I have recently tried out a new technique I learned from another blogger who said he got more page views when he stopped writing for a few days. I tried it; only got like 4 views. So, in retrospect, this dude sucks! Okay, well maybe it worked for him, but not for me, so I'm gonna keep on trucking.

Now, I'm not normally the type to bag on my teachers on the Internet, but I'm a straight A student and don't hate school that much, so when I have a problem, I WILL make it known. So, first of all, I go to a private school, which we all know is pretty not cheap (yes, I am aware of grammar mistake.) I always make A's, but not on this progress report. I am at like all B's and kinda not far from a C, all because of my Biology Honors class. So, I was out for a trip to Florida that lasted four days out of a school week and the next Monday. My Bio class started a new chapter the day I left, and I came back the next Tuesday. My teacher printed me off like a page of notes front and back and said that was all I needed except to read the chapter. Read the chapter? Sounds easy, right? No. Absolutely, I don't even, just no. It's like 20 pages long and worded so weirdly that I have to read the same sentence like three times to make it out. So, I get back from my extremely freakin' awesome trip to Florida on Monday and go back to school on Tuesday. My school was going to be off for a half day on that Thursday and off Friday leading into Spring Break. I had a pig show and sale that Wednesday and Thursday. So guess when I get to make up my test? Tuesday, my first day back. I studied, I read, I looked over the notes, and I take that test and pass with flyi---- abrupt halt here; sorry, I must have been in fantasy land, cause I for sure did not pass. The teacher told me on Tuesday that everybody made bad grades and we were going to have a retake. So when I find out I did not pass the Monday after Spring Break, (I refuse to ever tell anyone that grade... It already haunts me in my sleep) I figured, what the hey, I can just take it again. No. My teacher says that she was fairly sure that nobody understood it then and they won't now so no retakes. Obviously, I went home and whined. I had a complete emotional breakdown. In the car. If anybody was next to us at a stoplight and looked in on that, they were looking ugly right in the face. My mom sends my teacher an email and my teacher talks to me the next day. She says, "You could have asked me for more time." More time? When, exactly, was I supposed to have time for that? After Spring Break, two weeks away? Sounds unlikely to me.
Just to show you how cramped I am right now, here is a look at my schedule:

Do you see any time for that? So now I am suffering through that grade, trying not to get kicked out of Beta Club for my shrinking average, and trying to make my averages in other classes as close to a hundred as possible. Ughhh. So, needless to say, I will be taking a tour of my new advanced Sylvan Learning Center one afternoon this week. Yay, Sylvan tokens. :-(

Also, I have stuff with FFA going on, like this contest to see who can grow the biggest cabbage. It sat on my kitchen table for like 3 weeks. Kinda sad. I got tired of looking at it when I heard that the prize for biggest cabbage was $100 and got my fat butt out of the chair and planted that sucker. Been watching him not sprout since last Thursday. And watering. And waiting. And rotating him for better sun exposure. And waiting.

Still waiting.

So, here we are at this weekend, where I tried Zumba for the first time. I have been begging my mom to take me to Zumba sometime with my friend who has lost like 100 Ibs. Not happening. I quickly gave up, and realized that maybe I should try a different avenue. I like to use the Biggest Loser on my XBOX 360 Kinect and was gonna do that this weekend. Wouldn't it be my luck to have lost the stupid disc. I looked everywhere, under the couch, in the garage, under my bedside table!!!! (Not really, it'll turn up eventually.) So I settled for the Zumba game, which I tried before and loathed with all my being. And I forced myself through it on Sunday, too. And on Monday I fell asleep in my big comfy chair and said "Forget you, Zumba," in my dreams. So, yeah, not doing that anymore. Plus, I kinda messed up my arm.

I went to a soccer game last night with my friend Allison and it was cold. If there hadn't been a serious sports injury occur during the game, that would be all I remember. COLD. But my friend Christian's dad gave me and Allison some two year old hot chocolate powder to put in some water from a garden hose heated in a microwave and that made it all better. Not. Anyways, after the game we went to her house and worked on a project till like 8 or later. That explains the falling asleep, forget you zumba thing.

And now for the anecdote for the day that explains the title of this blog post. So, last week driving down     I-95, my mom goes, "Look at that truck. It's one of those Cadillac trucks. I don't know who would buy one except somebody with so much money they ain't got nothing better to use it for. It's not even a truck. It's like a 'trucklet.'" I go, "A 'trucklet'? What the heck is that?" So she goes on to explain how she uses the expression for things that happen to be smaller than they should be. So today, we were talking and I was telling her about some people I know and how they have a "houslet." She says, "Did you just say 'houslet'?" I say, "I figured if you can use it then I can use it, too." And now here comes the title. She says, "We're going to start a trend, and now everybody'll be saying it! And we'll be the ones who started it!" I stopped talking then.

Recent blog news:

So you may or may not have noticed that I added a few little things to my page. I added a list called "Current Reading," which I may or may not have mentioned in the last post. In this list, I will put the books I am currently reading, which are normally ones that suck cause I fly through the good ones before I can even add them. I will try to review them in a post sometime shortly after when the material is fresh in my brain (that's a gross expression, if you think about it.)
On to my other list called, "Sitting Around on my Phone's Kindle App Waiting to be Read..." No explanation needed, but I'm gonna give you one anyways. So here I put the book I have just recently bought and am waiting to read and review for you guys after I get through the books on my first list.
Finally, third and absolutely least is "Sample Books I'm Checking Out." This list entails all the books that I get a sample of on my phone to read to see if I am hooked enough by the end of the sample to actually spend the money on the book.

If you guys have any suggestions for me to read or comments on any books I have floating around then please, please, please, leave me a comment in the comment box below.

Also, if you guys know any Ag teachers that may be up for grabs or 4-H or FFA advisors, which can be rolled into one, please let me know by emailing me at the email address provided. Kind of a low-pay job, so please don't be hesitant to let me know. We really need one to keep the program going. We have a greenhouse!!!

I have German blog followers! You go, Germans! (You know, except for socialism and communism and fascism and Nazism and the Holocaust.)

This month's recommended:

Okay, so I have decided to do a new segment (hopefully every month) about shows, books, songs, or anything else that I think everybody should give a shot. To start, I want to go over some of my favorite TV shows.

First, I really think if you are into kind of detective, police, or even just drama shows, that you should watch the show Elementary. Set in modern day New York, Joan Watson is a surgeon turned sober companion by a fatal mistake she made performing surgery. Her latest client, arrogant and extremely intelligent British drug addict Sherlock Holmes, also works as a consultant with the NYPD. Up to date on all things criminals, Sherlock takes Watson with him everywhere he goes to assist the police in solving these crimes. Watson is eventually drawn into Sherlock mysterious methods of crime solving and, by the time her sober companion wages taper off, decides to partner with Holmes in solving the crimes as his "apprentice," him showing her his special techniques and how to acquire a keen ability to analyze everything, just as he does. Together, this pair travels all over New York solving crime and putting an end to murderers. The back story, however, has to do with Sherlock's past in England, involving a mysterious girl named Irene. Taken in with the mystery, Watson chips away at Holmes until he reveals to her his secrets. Brought to the front by a curious case the pair is working on, Sherlock confides in Watson that he believes the perpetrator is the same man who murdered his beloved, and that is when we begin to understand who Irene is and why she means so much to Sherlock. Irene was brutally murdered in England, and, as a consultant for the British police also, Sherlock was not able to assist in the case and eventually turned to drugs to eradicate his sorrow. This story is continued as characters from Sherlock's past come into play in later episodes and Sherlock continues to look for the true murderer of his only real love, Irene, to capture him or her  and make them feel the pain that he is sure his beloved felt. Along the way, some of Watson's back story is revealed, which is nothing as fantastical as Sherlock's and is not even worth mentioning. After all, she is just a side kick. P. S. I do not copy anybody else's work when I write this stuff. No copying and pasting.

On to the next show, a brand new series termed "Hannibal," based on the book on which the movie, "The Silence of the Lambs," is based upon. The main character, Will Graham, is an FBI investigator with the uncanny ability to get inside the head of the murderers he investigates and predicts their next move. In almost all of the cases, the body involved is almost always eaten in some way. The only reason Will can keep himself from going crazy with all these cases is the fact that he is crazy. Trained in mental health and knowledgeable author and teacher of many different disorders, most often involving types most likely to murder someone, Graham is often reprimanded by his FBI boss, who says he needs a psych evaluation. Left with no other choice but to force it upon him, Jack
Crawford, who is head of Behavioral Sciences at the FBI, as well as Will's boss, calls in Dr. Hannibal Lecter, recommendee of Dr. Caroline Dhavernas (psych professor and criminal profiler for the FBI), as a sort of partner for Graham, to evaluate him and try to "get in his head," as Will would describe it. Will doesn't like the idea very much at all, and, being all too familiar with all the methods psychologists use to probe someone's brain, Will turns the tables back around on Hannibal any chance he gets. This position, however, is at an advantage for him, and it is revealed in the first episode that it is, in fact, he who is the real murderer, only, being close to Will and keeping up his role as psych evaluator, he is able to avoid suspicion and frame others for his crimes. During the episodes, Hannibal is shown preparing and eating the organs he removes from his victims. It is also ironic that the real murderer in the show is named Hannibal, a name that has a remarkable resemblance to the word not one of us wants to hear: cannibal.

My all time favorite show is Pretty Little Liars, and if you have not seen it, you should watch it from the beginning while the season is out and reruns are starting. Be sure to catch up when it comes back on June 11. Last season ended with a major cliffhanger, and Troian Bellisario promises that it is revealed first thing in the new season. Also, catch the spinoff series of Pretty Little that will be on ABC Family as well, titled "Ravenswood."

Here are a few of my not television related recommendations as well. If you don't have a pair of Sperry's, get some. Most comfy shoes ever. After wearing them about 3 days, they are completely broken in and don't give you blisters. I got a cute pair with the sequined leopard print embellishing. Also, you need to try a white chocolate mocha frappuccino from Starbucks. Heaven in a cup, plus it's not even that mocha-y.

This is a mobile post, so no spell check. If you want, leave a comment below and I will do my best to reply!

Boston Bombings

I am sure most of you have heard by now of the terrible tragedy that occurred on June 15 in Boston during the Boston Marathon. They have now arrested a man they caught on camera whom they believe might be the perpetrator. They were pressure cooker bombs that were placed in trash cans around the finish line. Many people were injured and I would like to call for a time of prayer for these people and their families and for all the losses that occurred. And pray that they bring this crazy insane idiot who did this to justice.

You want to know one of my pet peeves? Chewing. That's right. I can't stand the sound of chewing. It just grosses me out. It also makes for really awkward lunch periods when you are crowded in and the sound can't be avoided except for the droning sound of kids yelling at each other.

But anyways, even though I hate chewing (I would force everyone around me to eat tomato soup if possible, not because of it's taste, Lord knows I hate that, but because it doesn't have chunks for possible obnoxious smacking sounds), that is what I am doing right now. My mom fixed one of those crappy freezer Stouffer's lasagnas last night for dinner. I hate lasagna, and the fact that it is frozen makes it even worse. So I ate a peanut butter jelly sandwich instead. Yum. And tonight, guess what we are having. Well, since I only have two parents and one unnecessarily large freezer lasagna, we are eating left-overs. Blech. So, since I have the munchies now and don't have to wait for my parents to fix dinner, (midnight snacks, anyone?) I am eating a bowl of my favorite cereal: Special K Chocolatey Delight. That's right, my favorite cereal happens to be a diet cereal. I need to go on one anyways, so if my parents decided to eat lasagna for the rest of my high school career, I would be down with that.

So, today, in Spanish class, right before the bell rings and I am doing nothing, I ask my teacher if I have ever sang for her before. I decide to do my school-renowned rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. While I was singing my little heart out and bringing joy to those around me, the bell rang for lunch. Lunch time? I was outta there. But after lunch, in my *ahem* "lovely" Biology class, my teacher told me that I should go on America's Got Talent. Then she asked if they had it in America. Um, hello, Ms. Barnes, it's in the title! Anyways, I was gonna go on X-Factor last year, but my parents didn't believe in me enough to take me, so I asked Ms. Barnes if she would take me. After I thought about it, I realized it really didn't matter because once I get my license I can go by myself. And get there early. Maybe around 9 the night before. You know, early bird catches the worm and all that.

Now, here comes the poetically beautiful random part of today's post.

I sometimes wonder why anybody would read this stuff about me that I post. I have always been told I am a good writer, so maybe my words will be captivating enough to capture the attention of whom I hope will become my loyal followers. Twitter included, @bgangel97.

Here is the real reason why I am doing what I am doing. I believe that writers-- song writers, musicians, poets, authors, and bloggers included-- are artists, only their medium is words. There is nothing like the feeling of putting down something so powerful in words that means so much to you that you can hope that will convey a message to someone else. If I can do one thing, I want to be one of those people that you learn about in history, or like Madonna on the three night 80's marathon airing on the National Geographic channel. I want to remembered. And I think that maybe God is telling me that this is the first step.

I have a friend, although I'm not sure if she considers me a friend, that always sits at my table for lunch. She is really nice, but a little odd. It doesn't matter to me, I find myself a little odd as well. But I found out recently and noticed that she has started self-cutting. And bad. I wish she would know how much she means to all of us. She has the ability to become a person like we read about in history, somebody who changes the world, and I wish she knew that everybody, including her, are valuable assets to our world, our country, our lives. Everybody is influenced by the people around them, and without her, there is no telling if she if supposed to provide influence on somebody's life that will change them forever. I wish all people that self-harm like that realized that. If you are out there, I am praying for you. You might not care of believe that God can help you, but I know and will anyways. I wish that more people would read the book, "By the Time You Read This, I'll Be Dead" by Julie Anne Peters. It made me look different at people like this. I think it should even be required reading for public schools. It will change the way you think about people, and I think it makes you not want to ignore this type of stuff that goes on around you we look over everyday. I hope that anybody reading this buys that book, reads it, meditates on it, and applies to their own lives and be more considerate of those around them.

That is all for today, and I hope you take what I have to say into consideration. After all, by doing this, I am losing valuable homework time. So don't make this a waste of my time. Read it, consider it, and apply it to your life. Thank you! Have a wonderful rest of the day!!!!!!!

Here's a picture of the book if you want to run out and pick it up:

off-topic research

So, do you ever have that random moment when you log onto your computer to do something important and then you start looking at random stuff that just pops into your brain? Okay, so, I'm rambling, but today was one of those days today. Right now I am watching Seinfeld, so forgive me if I get a little offtrack. Anyways, as I was saying, I was looking at random crap on the internet. I searched my grandma's jeweler, found out he was not a serial killer, totally exhausted Zappos' jewelry supply, and then looked up some random statistics about cancer.

So here's what I found out:

  1. My grandmother's jeweler is NOT a serial killer, nor a man who killed his wife, the mother of his 13 kids.
  2. People born in spring are more likely to get cancer.
  3. It is unlikely that your deo will make you get breast cancer, so chill out with those band-aids on your underarms (JK, I know you don't do that, right? Right????!!!). Oh, and don't forget to put it on!!! Nobody wants to smell "yo stanky" pits.

Anyways, that was some random inspiration for this post.
PS, I think it is hilarious how Jerry hates Newman so much.

now, back to homework prison, outlines and algebra and notecards, OH MY!
