An Ode to Blogging

AHHHHH. The wonderful world of blogging. An Internet community of bloggers and readers and subscribers alike. The bloggers, diligent in their task, write posts to tell you about their new favorite shows or songs or to share a to-die-for recipe, all in the hopes that one day they might save some unsuspecting reader from watching Desperate Housewives or making the mistake of eating scrambled eggs with brie. It is an unusual task, time consuming and difficult, to put your thoughts or recommendations into words and publish them on the Web for all to see with no fear of the fallout or consequences, just to see a smile on a reader's face when they try that new recipe or watch a trailer on YouTube for that awesome summer blockbuster that you just can't wait to see. It is a selfless task, you see, to spend the necessary time and energy to do what bloggers do with no desire for a reward except to make a difference. They care enough to share with you their life stories and bare the scars on their hearts for all to see. It is a noble task, which only the brave take on and dare to do well. So, bloggers, let us unite, no matter what race, age, gender, cause, dedication, or genre, to show the world what we are made of. It's more than just words on a screen; there is love and care and our lives displayed in those pixels. Let us show them we are brave, we are strong, and we will not remove posts due to controversial content. Let us do our job, what we do best, what we are meant to do, and do it better than anyone else!
